The KUNBUS-COM communication interfaces were created by further development of the KUNBUS-IC family. With the PROFINET COM module (PROFINET device, PROFINET IRT) from KUNBUS, you receive a complete communication interface (piggyback card, option card) with all required components.

Your application is connected with an SMC plug (32 pins). The interface card also includes all plug-in connectors for the bus connection, but also the optoelectronic couplers, bus drivers, microcontrollers, and memory. The PROFINET module is connected to your application simply by plugging it onto the control card or by means of a cable. Because of the uniform pin-out of all COM modules, they can be replaced easily by other variants (for example EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, etc.).
