With the KUNBUS-IC EtherCAT, you simplify the integration of EtherCAT into your control or application. In this way, you optimize time and costs with product introduction and can open up new markets quickly. In addition to the EtherCAT interface (EtherCAT slave), the IC modules of the KUNBUS GmbH are provided with a standardized interface to their own controller. Naturally, all of the most important components are included in the KUNBUS-IC modules, such as the microcontroller, the memory, the bus components, optoelectronic couplers and bus driver. In addition, the standard pin-out to the application enables simple modification to all buses offered by us (for example Ethernet, PROFINET, etc.). Accordingly, they can be used as EtherCAT option cards within the KUNBUS-IC family. Our KUNBUS-IC piggyback cards are certified by the ETG and tested 100 %. IC modules from KUNBUS have also proven themselves in the safety sector.

Connection of the KUNBUS-IC modules to a control is done with a serial UART interface (Modbus RTU). A shift register interface (SPI) further is used for devices without a processor. 32 x 8 freely adjustable input and output signals are available. These can be distributed freely, for example to 5 x input and 27 x output. A terminal connection serves as debugging and configuration interface (CDI). As the KUNBUS-IC modules operate completely control-independent, the processor of the application is completely relieved of these tasks.
